For God so loved the World
that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

As an organisation we want to to be true to the beliefs and practices of God, equally we don’t want to follow man-made ideas or philosophies and want to walk away from legalism and controlling religion.

We want to remain within these two pillars, on one side we want to uphold the truth and on the other side we don’t want to be rigid and lifeless. The core values that we have expressed are there to help us to keep true to our vision and the calling of church. They are to keep us from the extremes of being so broad that we embrace all without any conviction or that we are so narrow that no one is welcome.

Our passion and subject is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the truth found in the bible, the Word of God. We believe that when people engage with the Living God they are profoundly different for the experience.

Gospel Centred

We want the Gospel to stand at the center of everything we do.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commmanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

  • Moving and Mobilising – we are to live out the gospel in everyway, it is always active and relevant
  • Baptising and Discipleship – we will baptise believers and discipleship anyone who wants to follow Christ
  • Teaching the “good news” – recognising we all learn in different ways, in small groups, gathered communities and one to one

We will share our love for God with all that we are.

They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

Acts 2:46-47

  • Worshipping Together – we believe in the importance of collective worship as a gathered community or small group
  • Communion Together – we observe the command to obey the Lord’s Supper as an expression of worship on a weekly basis
  • Shared Life Together – we believe as we live out our lives together in the name of Jesus, we honour and glorify God

We will share our love for God with all that we are.

You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Matthew 5:14-16

  • City on a Hill – we believe in the importance in being one in Christ as a community
  • Visible and Vibrant – we believe we should be there for all to see and in and around where the people are
  • Everyone and Anyone – we believe that the love of God is for everyone, even if we don’t agree with what they do

We will demonstrate generosity with all that we have.

And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

Acts 2:44-45

  • Being Together – our lives and the way we live should be an example to those who don’t know Jesus
  • Sharing Together – we will give our talents, gifts, time and money as a family of God
  • Reaching out to the needy – we will give what we can to those in our community

We will follow Jesus wherever he leads and whatever he asks.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.

Matthew 4:19-20

  • Listening and Hearing – we want to be led by the Holy Spirit so that we can do what he asks
  • Following Jesus – we want to live like Christ and be like Christ
  • Entrepeneurs and Faith – we want to dream and live in faith, to best live out the kingdom

We will model Christ and show the changes he is making in our lives.

This means anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. the old life is gone; a new life has begun!

2 Corinthians 5:17

  • New People – we want to be those that are living as Christ’s abassadors and servents of the King
  • New Mind – we want to constantly be renewed by Koiros moments from God
  • New Way of Life – we want to live Christ’s way and not our own
